DECA is the training ground for future business leaders.

Connecting class to careers.

DECA prepares high school and college students to become leaders in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Through hands-on projects, leadership conferences, and competitive events, DECA connects classroom learning to future careers. Members develop the confidence to present ideas, lead teams, and solve problems creatively — skills that set them apart in college, in the workplace, and beyond.

DECA in the community

One of the most rewarding parts of our chapter is getting involved in community service. We organize volunteer projects throughout the year — food drives, collecting coats for local shelters, and helping with elementary school events. Sometimes we team up with local businesses to raise money for charities or host awareness campaigns for causes that matter to us. These projects let us use the leadership and marketing skills we learn in DECA to make a real impact, while also building stronger connections with our school and community.

Learning through competition

DECA competitions are one of the most exciting parts. We apply what we’ve learned in real-world scenarios. Each of us chooses an event that fits our interests — from role-playing as a marketing manager pitching a campaign to presenting a detailed business plan or financial analysis. At competitions, we dress professionally, think on our feet, and present our ideas to judges who work in those industries. It’s challenging but fun, and every competition helps us build confidence, public speaking skills, and problem-solving abilities.
